Tom is one of the founders and managing partners of Alpha Insurance Brokerage.  He has been involved in the marketing of annuities and life insurance since 2003, serving in several different roles.  Through his experience of working with 40+ carriers and hundreds of advisors across the country, he brings great expertise to the firm.  Born and raised in a small town in SE Minnesota, he attended Iowa State University and graduated in 2002.  Tom enjoys, more than anything, spending time with his wife, Nicole, and five children.  When he has time, he also enjoys golfing and the outdoors. 

Derrick is one of the founders and managing partners of Alpha Insurance Brokerage.  He started his career with NY Life in 2004 and has been involved in all aspects of the insurance business.  He is a product expert, working with actuaries and marketers at home offices, and has assisted with the design of several annuity products. Derrick was raised on a farm in central IA and attended Central College in Iowa where he played football and golf and received a degree in Business Management.  Derrick enjoys spending time with his family, which includes his wife, Karie, and five children.  Outside of family, you can find Derrick on the golf course or cheering on his beloved Iowa State Cyclones.  

Angie joined Alpha Insurance Brokerage in 2012, as a VP of Sales.  Upon graduating from Central College in Pella, Iowa, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, she began her career in Insurance with ING USA in Des Moines.  In 2004 she made the transition to being a Marketing Coordinator with a very successful IMO in West Des Moines.  She enjoys offering annuity case design expertise, as well as product analysis, and prides herself on providing excellent and prompt service to her agents.  In her free time, you can find Angie in the Clear Lake, IA area, where she grew up, on the ski slopes in Colorado, or on a beach somewhere.

Kyle is a Vice President of Sales at Alpha Insurance Brokerage. He began his career with American Express Financial Advisors in 2001, and his background encompasses fixed and indexed annuities as well as life and health insurance. He has sold these lines in the field as well as marketed them from home offices. Kyle is from a small town in Iowa and attended AIB College of Business, graduating in 1999. He enjoys spending time with his wife Aimee and their two children. They live in West Des Moines and love to watch and play sports together.

Maria is the New Business Coordinator for Alpha Insurance Brokerage.  She has been in the insurance industry since 1995 and has extensive experience in new business and customer service with multiple carriers.  Maria is the "saint behind the scenes" for Alpha IB, handling all new business applications from the time they come to our office to issue at the home office.  Born in a small town in central Iowa, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.  In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors and reading.
